This is right on the canal at the center of Navigli nightlife. The local restaurants and bars are very noisy even during the week until about 12:00 midnight. Wednesdays they pick up trash and recycling, starting with glass (the noisiest) at 6:30. If your priority is sleep, don't take a canal view room. The breakfast was excellent, everything anyone would want. Even the fresh fruit, although not cut up, was perfectly ripe. Service was excellent, friendly. The bed was comfortable, nice sheets, the shower was excellent, the decoration was a bit lacking (grey painted desk and night stands, glaring lights). I found the room too warm at night and couldn't find a way to adjust that with the thermostat but I never asked the front desk, I just opened the window (until 6:30). There was no secondary lock on the door so I placed some heavy shoes such that they would make a noise if the door was opened.
Stunning hotel & room, beautifully designed.|Staff were really helpful & friendly. |Shower was amazing.|Bed massive & really comfortable/ ||Breakfast choice was OK but if you want more than one coffee it’ll cost 3€ which I thought was …
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and it was wonderful. |The hotel is situated in a perfect place next to the canal and there are lovely bars and restaurants nearby. |The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the rooms were …
Maison Borella is a wonderful little boutique hotel located on the happening Naviglio Grande canal. The rooms are well insulated (both weather and noise), so that happening scene outside won't disturb your sleep inside. The staff are super attentive and helpful. Bed linens are soft and plush. Bathroom is well anointed.
Continental breakfast is served at the restaurant on the ground floor - typical spread you'd expect in Europe.
Location is just a touch inconvenient for arrivals, as typically, the road in pedestrianised in the afternoon/evenings. If you have a lot of luggage, be prepared to pull it about 150m from the taxi drop-off area to the main lobby (not that bad, honestly). The road has smooth slabs, so your wheelie suitcases won't have any trouble. (When departing in the mornings, taxis can drive all the way to the main lobby.)
We had a wonderful stay here— the hotel is charming and in a great location! During our stay I accidentally left a necklace of great sentimental importance to us— we called after we left frantic and worried. The team at the hotel was amazing and helped ensure we could get it back! The staff was lovely and aside from the beautiful hotel and great stay— we feel so fortunate they were willing to help us get my necklace back!
A Wonderful Experience near the Channel. Large rooms looking over the channel and near to all attractions. Nice and polite people from welcome to goodbye (esspresso at 6.45 a.m while saying goodbye) Recommended to everyone except small children as the hotel is in middle of most popular area of the city :)
Terrible experience! Well ahead of our arrival, I spoke with the hotel GM requesting a room with one solid double bed.( Many hotels in Europe call it a double with two singles put together and there is always a space between and it's very …
Nicely located on the main canal of the canal district of Milan, this is a very nice, friendly and cozy hotel.
Rooms are big and nice, around an internal patio, wooden upper ceiling creates atmosphere.
Lobby is nicely decorated, staff is friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is great.
And all that in agood and fair price.
At night, the area is full of restaurants, pubs and people coming to enjoy ......
Although the celebration outside, rooms are quite.
Highly recommened hotel in the nice canal district of Milan.
